After school, Inoue watches Katsuda of the tennis club practicing before heading home, and Hanasaki tests out some tools of the Boy Detectives' Club trade with Scientific Experiments Club members Ohtomo and Yamane. Meanwhile, a police car is found overturned after a crash. A film reel labeled "For Akechi-kun" is found in the car, and one of the passengers, Senior Officer Kanda, is missing.
