In the ruins of Shelter Edesia, alien machines unleashing fireballs appear. The unfamiliar attack puts Yamato and his friends at a severe disadvantage. Then there's Arshem, who's working together with Victor. She forges bonds with the indomitable Terrans living on the surface who refuse to give up on life even as the Red Ochre Fever sickens them. Once more, she feels the weight of the sins perpetrated by her people against another planet.
