NEW YEAR'S MAN-EATING FABLE KASHA
On her way home from her first shrine visit of the year, Mana spots a youkai dragging a dead body. Daddy Eyeball says it might have been a youkai called Kasha. It prefers to eat dead bodies, so it used to run rampant, appearing near crematoriums to steal human corpses... But the youkai Mana saw had been weak, and when it noticed Mana, it had dropped the corpse and run away. Maybe Kasha had grown weaker with age...
