Conan and friends witness waiter Someya punching his coworker Nashimoto at a family restaurant. Nearby, Chie trembles in fear for some reason. Three days later, Detective Takagi is escorting Someya to the Metropolitan Police Department in a patrol car, and Someya bungles his escape attempt. Takagi and Someya find themselves alone and handcuffed together. Takagi tries to determine why Someya attempted to flee, but... Conan learns about their situation while watching the news and goes to question Nashimoto. Nashimoto confesses Chie was being talked by Someya. While it`s likelly Someya will go to see Chie, Conan thinks something seems not quite right...
