After being attacked by Captain Zaraki`s sword, while lying weak on the ground, Ichigo is greeted by a metaphysical version of his zanpaku-to, Zangetsu. Zangetsu takes Ichigo to develop his understanding about the nature of his zanpaku-to. When Ichigo calls a surprised Captain Zaraki into battle again, he has a renewed confidence in the strength of his fight.
