The battle between the Soul Reapers and Bounts intensifies. Kariya suddenly appears at the Department of Research and Development, where he looks for an original crest of the Bounts and interrogates Nemu. Ichigo and Chad arrive there and challenge Kariya. Meanwhile, Uryu battles Yoshi, who kicks the Soul Reapers out of the Seireitei. Uryu purposely changes the battle site because he doesn`t want to involve the injured Soul Reapers.
