Synopsis
An adaptation of author Bai Mao's Chinese novel series based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Keishuu, China. The history books say that in the era of the Three Kingdoms, this land was a place of never-ending war. A young high school boy, Sonshin, who hates his city's history, is troubled by a certain dream. When he wakes up from the dream, strange things begin to happen one after another, and without understanding what's going on, he suddenly finds himself facing Gien, one of the generals from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, who's trying to kill him! Just before Gien's blade strikes home, a mysterious beautiful woman appears in front of Sonshin. What trials await Sonshin?

Soul Buster
Sonshin is a young high school boy in China who finds himself caught up in an ancient battle between the forces attempting to revive the emperor Kentei and who would stop them. A mysterious benefactor gives him a choice of cards, which will allow him to summon warriors from the romance of the three kingdoms to do his bidding. He summons the great general Shuuyu, but very quickly finds out that the game is more deadly than he bargained for...

Enlightenment
Chou-sensei continues to pursue Shuuyu and Sonshin throughout the school. Sonshin lacks the spiritual power needed to fully use Shuuyu's abilities, so he has no choice but to flee. The situation grows even more dire when the two of them are trapped on the roof, and Gien destroys the fire escapes, leaving them nowhere to run...

Trapped on the roof, Sonshin has nowhere to run against Chou-sensei. He's forced to fight, but his spiritual power is weak. He attempts to surrender to spare Shuuyu any further pain, but as her armor glints in the setting sun, it seems he has another plan in mind...

With Chou-sensei defeated, the real bad guy is revealed: Hakuanshi, a servant of Kentei who was manipulating him for his own purposes. Hakuanshi uses more powerful generals, and more than just one. Even with the help of his mysterious classmate Ryofu, Sonshin has no choice but to flee. But Hakuanshi isn't willing to let him go easily...

Ryouun and Sonshin continue to fight against Hakuanshi's generals. Sonshin's spiritual energy is beginning to run out, and it won't be long before he's completely dry. But even after he temporarily repels this foe, he still has to deal with a reckless and angry Shuuyu, who blunders straight into a trap...

Ryouun and Sonshin are fleeing to the Southern Palace, pursued by another of Hakuanshin`s generals. On their way, they are trapped in a labyrinthine neighborhood, and led into an ambush by a group of neighborhood thugs. But the head thug is tougher than the others, and he`s strong enough to even fight Ryouun`s general!

Ryouun and Sonshin proceed to the Southern Palace, which is located in a lake at the back of a bamboo forest. But Hakuanshin`s plots run deeper than they suspected, and a second assassin awaits. When Ryouun is badly wounded, her general goes off to duel the assassin...

Sonshin finally takes the badly wounded Shuuyu to the southern palace, where Ryouun`s grandfather agrees to treat her. But in other to cure her from the poison that consumes her energy, he`ll have to go deep inside his mind, where the bond between Lord and General will be tested.

After the loss of her last General, Ryouun wants power, and a lot of it. She turns to the enshrined warrior of the southern palace, the legendary war god Kanu. But will she be able to master his incredible might, or will he drain her of her own power and drive her to her death?

With the Southern Palace collapsing around them, Sonshin and Ryouun frantically search for a way out. But Hakuanshi summons a revived, and even more powerful Gien to stop them!

A massive rock blocks the way out of the Southern Palace. Only by combining the powers of General and Lord can Ryouun and Sonshin hope to move it. Hakuanshin waits outside for the palace to collapse, because when it does he will get the last bit of Kanu`s card. Can they escape the collapsing palace in time? And if they do, what will be their next destination?
