Synopsis
Deijiko is the princess of the planet of Di Gi Charat. After reading a book, she is influenced to want to help everyone be happy. She leaves the castle and pretends to be a normal girl. She tries to make everyone happy by taking various jobs around the town and thereby making all sorts of new friends and inevitably, enemies.

Episode 1
a. 1-4
After reading about a famous philanthropist, Dejiko wishes to abandon her princess duties to go out and help people throughout Di Gi Charat. But escaping the castle walls is easier said than done.

Dejiko, Puchiko, and Gema are walking along until they come across a line of people before a cake shop. Because the baker, Rinna, sleeps in often, there's no telling when it'll open. So the trio takes matter into their own hands with Dejiko naturally leading the way. They learn a valuable baking lesson and in the process make a new friend.

Right after the narcoleptic Rinna decides to join the gang, a cat leaps on Dejiko's face. All make an ill start with another girl by named MeeK who is in hot pursuit of the cat because it stole a fish from her family's shop. In helping MeeK set traps, all learn how deep the cat's reasons run.

New antagonists Deji Devil and Piyoko have arrived on Di Gi Charat to make everyone sad. When Dejiko and company (MeeK now a part of the team) pass them by, the duo picks up information about a contest to decide the best behaved child. But when Piyoko cheats her way to the top, the prize is less than what she expected.

Dejiko is asked to replace a movie star who's been rushed to the hospital. However, a mischievous boy also has the same intentions.

Piyoko and Deji Devil introduce themselves to the heroes, who don't consider them a threat. The duo intends on injuring Dejiko if they weren't as airheaded as her and her friends.

One strike of the belltower's bell sends a time-travelling boy falling out. The gang can't make up their minds which point in time they want to visit...or can they?
