Synopsis
Rei Kigata is a boy, a first year middle schooler at Ishido Middle School. He is not a believer of any paranormal phenomena such as existence of ghosts or spirits in any kind, but one day at midnight, while he is in sleep, a mysterious newspaper called “Horror News” is delivered to his room. The newspaper tells a story in which one of his teachers at the school will get killed in a car accident the following morning and Kigata will be a witness of the accident. The story turns into a fact in the following day and since then, the mysterious newspaper is delivered everyday.

Rei Kigata is a boy, a first year middle schooler at Ishido Middle School. He is not a believer of any paranormal phenomenon such as existence of ghosts or spirits in any kind, but one day at midnight, while he is in sleep, a mysterious newspaper called “Horror News” is delivered to his room.

Rei Kigata is haunted by a mysterious newspaper called Horror News and he has to read it everyday at midnight. He also experiences speaking with a spirit. That spirit tells him that there are many things existing in this world even though you cannot actually see them.

Horror News comes that night in front of Kigata and the teacher. And comes the spirit, too. But the newspaper looks normal to the teacher and he cannot see the spirit even though the spirit gets rough with him. The teacher took Kigata to a medium who has an ability to see and speak to spirits.

Kigata and other students at Ishido Middle School come to Kyoto for their school trip. That day later in the evening, one of the female student, Okuyama faints in anemia and started to confess that she is haunted and attacked by a vampire. There is a bite mark with blood on one of her arms.

Okuyama get sick in the bullet train. She leaves her seat and goes to a washroom. There, she meets a woman who asks Okuyama to take care of her baby while she uses a toilet.

Rei Kigata finds an article in Horror News that says “He sees Unidentified Flying Objects in a sky.” Kigata tells that story to other class mates and they decides, involving a science teacher, to have outdoor observation to find the UFO.

The mysterious girl Elina is able to talk to Kigata and even to alien beings by telepathy. With that conversation and promise to see each other again, she goes away.

The man who shot the rifle to Kigata and Elina turns out to be a huntsman who works in the valley. He says he mistook them as the luminous monster. Elina who Kigata thought running away together is nowhere to be seen.

No one in his class or even his teachers do not believe Kigata’s story. He become obsessed with an idea of getting himself on one of those UFOs to make everybody believes what he says. Then again, Elina Matsuoka appears in front of him.

The baseball team at Ishido Middle School has hard practices. One day, they have strange incidents where they seemingly have the 14th member though the team has only 13 players.

Being suspected by other team mates that there is one more of him, Takahashi is thrown out from the baseball team. While seeking advice from Kigata, Takahashi complains a harsh stomachache. He is brought to a hospital and receives a diagnosis of having a foreign body in his stomach.

The truth behind the famous horror story, Yotusya Kaida told by Rei Kigata, who is destined to read Horror News every now and then. Lemon, who was taken into a marriage to an ugly woman, Oiwa. He and his business higher-up had deceived Oiwa and kicked her out of her house and family.

Rei Kigata is in a snowy mountain with his uncle to enjoy skiing. Kigata and his uncle join the uncle’s friend’s young daughter, Saho, in the mountain and decided to stay in the usual mountain lodge they stay every year.

The wanted man gathers Kigata, his uncle and Saho and starts to talk about snowmen knowns as “Yetis”. He claims “Yetis” do not only lives in the Himalayas but also in that snowy mountain in Japan.

The wanted murderer proceeds preparation to kill Kigata first. By spreading a bundle of huge animal’s hair down outside a window of the lodge and making a fake foot prints of a big snowman, the murderer makes the impression of snowman stick in their mind of the uncle and Saho, and tells Kigata to come out of the lodge at 8 pm sharp.

Rei Kigata receives a mysterious newspaper called Horror News every mid-night. That newspaper tells the story of a series of strange happenings that involves many fatal accidents among the investigation parties of the tomb of Tutankhamun.
